What is TrueHue?
An AR-powered color support app designed for designers with color vision deficiency.
What is color vision deficits?
Color weakness is a relatively minor defect in color vision. Patients with color weakness are able to perceive color, but the intensity or clarity of color is reduced. In low-light conditions, they may have a harder time distinguishing small color differences.

Problem
In daily life, people tend to directly define people with color weakness as color blindness, thus denying them many careers.

Features
Color Finder
Color Finder can identify the color is on a screen or a physical product.
And user can scan color on screen by bluetooth, instead of using a external camera.
If user is using the camera on AR device, device will directly scan the area by tracking user's eye movement.

Color Finder
AI Analyze Feature will analyze the image and offer detailed color analyze and preview of the product after color changing.
Images to analyze can be uploaded or directly crop from user's view.

After uploading the image, user can text AI prompts, and AI will analyze the image.

Color Palette
User can directly view different color palette in the community, each with an example to apply to the interface. Users can copy the color numbers directly into other software for use.

Color Palette Creator
User can also create the color palette in the picture by uploading the image, and the AI will also provide the reason.

Design Process
Introduction
75% experienced challenges at work

A study by EnChroma found that 75% of individuals with color vision issue experience challenges at work related to their condition. These challenges can lead to frustration, delays, and reliance on colleagues for tasks involving color identification. Also, people with color weakness always been rejected while applying for job opportunities, even if the job don’t have to work with colors.
Challenges
Color weakness can present unique challenges for designers, as it affects their ability to accurately perceive and distinguish certain colors.

Research and Design Concept
Current Products for People with Color Deficiency

Research about Color Test
People usually use Enchroma Color Test as the first step to identify what kind of color weakness the individual is.

Design Concept
How might we design a software that contains the excellent functions of existing software and is user friendly to assist designers with color weakness in color design?

Rationale behind the Decision
Why using AR glass?
AR glass allows users to use functions without being seen by others. And AR can be used in real time while the user is working without affecting the work. Second, AR eyes with a camera can quickly and easily help users identify colors.
Why deleting color enhance feature?
This function can only help distinguish colors, and it makes little difference to the designer group, because they need accurate colors, rather than just distinguishing colors, this function will provide negative help to the design.
Why using AI?
AI can quickly and maximally help users identify their products and make accurate suggestions for changes based on the powerful database behind them.
Why bluetooth with camera?
The camera is used to scan the color on the physical product, and bluetooth is used to connect to the color on the electronic screen to recognize the color without adapting to the camera. Because computer screens and cameras cause chromatic aberrations.
